Almost Every PSVR2 Game Reviewed (Part Fourteen / Letter N)
Almost Every PSVR2 Game Reviewed (Part Fourteen / Letter N).
Welcome to part fourteen of this PSVR2 review series where I try to review every single title released for the system since launch.
This part of theย series (number 14) covers PSVR2 games starting with the letter N.
Iโve also begun including information about reprojection and native FPS, following requests from the community.
Iโve had a lot of people asking for moreย PSVR2 reviewsโand while this blog has its roots firmly in theย Amiga scene, VR has always sparked just as much curiosity among readers. With my background and involvement in both worlds, especially from aย development perspective, it feels only natural to keep covering both. After all, retro passion and cutting-edge immersion share the same heartbeat: the pure love of gaming.
If you want to look up the other articles in this series, click here; it will takeย you to a group here at the AmigaGuru gamers blog.
Once a gamer, always a gamerโevery title here is judged based onย fun, jank,ย andย playability, not just on flashy features or unused tech.
Iโve also included a trailer (if available) for each game, embedded right in the headline for easy access.
No Man’s Sky…
No Manโs Sky needs no introduction, IMO. I played the game far too much in flat mode at launch all those years ago, which is probably why I more or less skipped it on PSVR.
I say more or less, because I did put about five hours into the PSVR version before giving upโmainly due to the muddy visuals and truly awful flying controls.
I wasnโt exactly hyped for the PSVR2 version either, but after letting it sit for about six months, I finally fired it upโฆ and got completely hooked. The controls and visualsโespecially after the latest updateโare simply insane. This is a tremendous upgrade over the original PSVR version.
I ended up platinuming the PSVR2 version as well, and this time it didnโt take long at allโaround 20 hours.
Itโs absolutely worth your time now. With excellent controls, sharp visuals, and the feel of a true AAA experience, No Manโs Sky fits VR incredibly well. The game utilises PSSR, and as far as I know, itโs currently the only title doing so. Youโll need a PS5 Pro for that, but in my opinion, this alone is a very strong reason to own one.

No More Rainbows…
This was one of the bigger surprises for me. I expected a fairly typical platformer, but instead I got a Stilt / Gorilla Tagโstyle mechanics-based game set in a colourful world (very much like Stilt).
Everything works really well, although it can be insanely hard in placesโand thatโs what eventually made both my shoulders and my patience tap out and turn the game off.
Visually, the game is pleasant to look at, and the audio is solid too. There are leaderboards and plenty of side-missionโstyle collectables, which encourage you to return even after finishing a levelโor the game itself.
Thereโs also a surprising amount of online mini-games. The game supports cross-play, and when I tested it a while back, the lobbies were packed with players. The developer claims the game runs at 90Hz, but has never clarified whether thatโs native or reprojected.
The really strange part is that the game is only available in the U.S.โweโve contacted both the developer and publisher several times, but never received any response.

Nock…
Nock is surprisingly a game that never gets hype or is mentioned anywhere, and this is really strange, as Nock is basically Rocket League in VR. A game that you will need to move a lot; you will sweat like crazy for sure, but the way the game plays and how bloody fun it is, well, it is worth it.
The mechanics in this one are not about driving around chasing the ball; in Nock, you run around and use a bow and arrow to shoot the ball around, and it works incredibly well thanks to the visuals and sound that add that extra layer of quality. I sometimes wonder if this is made \by the same team that originally did Rocket League, as this game could easily have been called Nock League.

* If you like to move in VR, like online and a challenge, this is for you*
Not For Broadcast VR…
I haven’t got too much to say about this other than I have tried it a couple of times and I can’t even get past the tutorial.
A mess to play, cool concept, but I am probably tooย old for this and yeah, the yank ruined it for me instantly

*Buy with caution. If you like a confusing tutorial and loads of jank, then this is for you*
