Almost Every PSVR2 Game Reviewed (Part Ten / Letter J)…
Welcome to part ten of this PSVR2 review series where I try to review every single title released for the system since launch.

Almost Every PSVR2 Game Reviewed / Letter J)...

This part of theย series (number 10) covers PSVR2 games starting with the letter J.

Iโ€™ve also begun including information about reprojection and native FPS, following requests from the community.

Iโ€™ve had a lot of people asking for moreย PSVR2 reviewsโ€”and while this blog has its roots firmly in theย Amiga scene, VR has always sparked just as much curiosity among readers. With my background and involvement in both worlds, especially from aย development perspective, it feels only natural to keep covering both. After all, retro passion and cutting-edge immersion share the same heartbeat: the pure love of gaming.

If you want to look up the other articles in this series, click here; it will takeย you to a group here at the AmigaGuru gamers blog.

Once a gamer, always a gamerโ€”every title here is judged based onย fun, jank,ย andย playability, not just on flashy features or unused tech.

Iโ€™ve also included a trailer (if available) for each game, embedded right in the headline for easy access.

Jingle strike vr

Jingle Strike VR…

At first, I thought I had read Jungle Strike VR, and for a split second I got excited, thinking it might be a VR remake of the classic Amiga game. Sadly, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, this is a dreadful attempt at a bowling game with a Christmas and elf theme. Releasing it in June was a bizarre decision, and honestly, let’s hope it’s removed from the store before Christmas even arrives.

This is utter garbage. The trophy list is terrible ( no platinum either), the gameplay is anything but fun thanks to cumbersome controls, and the sheer number of bugs and broken collision detections makes it an absolute chore to play. This one gets the full boot from me.

The resolution is awful, the frame rate struggles constantly, and the entire experience is riddled with jank. There’s no precision, no gameplay variety, horrible menus, no online features, and virtually no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It’s an absolute train wreck of a shovelware release and one of the worst games I’ve played in quite some time. ” Should You Buy it? – NO “.

Job Simulator PSVR2

Job Simulator…

This one probably needs no introduction โ€” itโ€™s one of the best-selling VR games of all time, a huge hit both physically and as a digital download on PSVR. The crazy part? It still charts on that platform years later. Clearly, the developers wanted to bring that success to PSVR2 โ€” and much to our surprise, it’s also charting on PSVR2, and another thing is that it’s a free upgrade for those who already owned it on PSVR.

The PSVR2 version comes with some notable improvements over the original, most obviously in graphics and controls. That said, thereโ€™s still a fair bit of jank, and youโ€™ll need a large play space since standing, bending, and stretching in all directions is required โ€” just like the PSVR version. The game is still fun, but it feels very much like old VR technology, and in many ways, the genre has moved on over the past few years.

In short, thereโ€™s a lot of jank, but the PSVR2 version is more precise than the original. Itโ€™s fun but dated and relatively shallow, making it best suited for kids. Some new gameplay features and the Sense controllers add accuracy and reduce clumsiness. Itโ€™s a free upgrade if you owned the PSVR version, but try the demo before buying โ€” donโ€™t get swept up in the hype, as many reviews are based on the old version. * Buy with caution, fun old game *

Journey to foundation PSBVR2

Journey To Foundation…

For fans of Isaac Asimovโ€™s Foundation series, this game will feel instantly familiar โ€” itโ€™s based on the first book in the series. Letโ€™s get one thing out of the way: this game really should have been the start of a series (and it was supposed to be a trilogy?). Unfortunately, the developer Archiact folded after the gameโ€™s sales fell far short of expectations.

Now, onto the game itself. The narrative, story, and overall production values are outstanding โ€” it genuinely feels like being part of a movie, and I was engaged every minute I played. Gameplay mechanics like mind control, stealth, and the generally slower pacing work really well, and there are clever moments where you need to use a laser pen to cut through metal, using mind control and more, which adds variety. The graphics, sound, and overall presentation are excellent.

Itโ€™s a fun game with a compelling story and an intriguing concept. Thereโ€™s a little jank here and there, mostly around combat and shooting sequences, which can occasionally be annoying but are never game-breaking.

The presentation, particularly the music, makes it feel like a top-tier experience. My only real complaint? When I finished, I wanted more โ€” thereโ€™s so much material in the books that could have been used to expand this into one of the best VR series out there.ย * I really enjoyed this, not a game for everyone, but recommended to people who love slow-paced story heavy games *

Jurassic world PSVR2

Jurassic World – Aftermath Collection…

Another PSVR title that made its way to PSVR2. I never played the original PSVR version, and honestly, Iโ€™m glad I didnโ€™t โ€” it allowed me to go in completely blind on PSVR2, which has a much more fitting control system for a stealth-focused FPS like this one.

Iโ€™m not entirely sure what I expected going in. There wasnโ€™t much hype, and the graphical style certainly didnโ€™t scream โ€œmust-buy.โ€ From the moment I started, I was a little disappointed โ€” it immediately felt like an old VR game that hadnโ€™t aged well, and that feeling lingered for hours.

I had very little fun with this one. The jank was frustrating, and the gameplay felt repetitive. That said, there were a few moments I enjoyed โ€” the very beginning and the final sections of the game felt more polished and exciting. Unfortunately, the jump scares were overused and quickly lost their impact.

Jurassic World VR isnโ€™t a game Iโ€™d recommend to most players. Itโ€™s not terrible, but it feels empty and overly reliant on just one or two mechanics that arenโ€™t particularly special.

There are far more engaging VR experiences out there. Key points: the game has noticeable jank, can be samey and slow, and features pretty boring dialogue that relies heavily on audio that goes on and on. The framerate is inconsistent, there are no weapons (sometimes a positive, sometimes a negative), and thereโ€™s a lot of stealth, which can be tense and frightening at times. Boss fights are easy, and thereโ€™s no blood, which might surprise some players.
