Spelhuset at Liseberg in 2025 (10 Years Later)

A rainy day at Liseberg usually means shorter queues for the rollercoasters and other outdoor attractions — and that was certainly the case. But inside, the three-story arcade Spelhuset was absolutely buzzing. Not only was it packed wall to wall with hundreds upon hundreds of arcade machines, but it was also teeming with people like never before.

I’ve written about Spelhuset many times before, and I had every intention of doing a full-blown feature this year as well…

But what greeted me was completely unexpected.

All three floors of the massive Arcade building were absolutely packed—so crowded, in fact, that it was nearly impossible to walk around, let alone take decent pictures. I honestly can’t remember the last time it was this busy—probably 20+ years ago! And best of all? Most people were actually playing the machines. It was absolutely incredible to witness!

There were quite a few new arcade machines too, but I struggled to get good photos. So for now, you’ll only see a handful of shots—just from one small corner of one of the floors.

Out of the 300-400 arcade machines i managed to get pictures of like 15 🤣

Hopefully, I’ll manage to capture more next year! 😂
